Zambia’s Chipolopolo welcomed star striker Jacob Mulenga into the camp in Ndola ahead of Saturday's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Uganda Cranes.

Zambia’s The Post Online reports that the FC Utrecht striker was among 11 players who took part in the first training session yesterday morning at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Mulenga returns to the team for the first time since October 8, 2011 when he was injured in a goalless draw against Libya in Zambia’s final 2012 Africa Cup of Nations Group C qualifier played in Chingola. Zambia went on to win the continental trophy in January this year.

Meanwhile Pearlsporto announced on Tuesday that a total of 87 Uganda Cranes fans will on Friday morning fly to Ndola, Zambia in a chartered Air Uganda flight to cheer the team.

According to Faizal Musenze, Managing Director of Pearlsporto, the company authorized by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to coordinate the travel, all the passengers have already been briefed of the travel details and the check-in time scheduled for Friday at 05:00am. Pearlsporto will take charge of the fans’ accommodation during their stay in Zambia.

Musenze has also pledged a Cranes replica jersey for every fan traveling on top of paying for their stadium access tickets. The arrangement will have the fans flying back to Entebbe shortly after the game on Saturday evening. Some fans will, however, embark on the journey by road on Wednesday in a private arrangement.
