Kenya's head coach Bobby Williamson has warned Uganda Cranes ahead of start of the 2015 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in Ethiopia.

The defending champions Kenya will face Uganda Cranes on Sunday in a Group B tie in Addis Ababa. But the former Uganda Cranes coach Williamson has warned that his team is ready to prove a point against Uganda and perform well in the tournament.

"We failed to qualify for the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers, but want to impress in this regional tournament," said Williamson who won the regional trophy two times while in-charge of Uganda.

The Harambee Stars will however miss their key striker Michael Olunga who stayed behind because of issues with his travel documents, while injured Edwin Wafula also stayed behind.

Coach Milutin ‘Micho' Sredojevic's team will look to skipper Farouk Miya who is enjoying excellent form. The likes of Joseph Ochaya, Ivan Ntege and the only professional player on the team Murushid Juuko are expected to play pivotal roles for the team.

The 2015 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup will start on Saturday with Burundi facing Zanzibar  before hosts Ethiopia take on Rwanda. Malawi are the only guest side that will participate in the event to take place in three towns.

Uganda has won the regional trophy a record 13 times, while Kenya and Ethiopia have won it six and four times respectively.
