Watchman Injured as Thugs break into Church School

Unidentified thugs have broken into Buliima Church of Uganda Primary School in Bwijanga Sub County Masindi district.  The group reportedly hacked the night watchman identified as Alfred Mwesigwa before accessing the school premises on Friday night.

The watchman was rushed to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital where he is currently admitted with injuries on the head, chest hands and the face.

The school head teacher Jimmy Obonyo told Uganda Radio Network on Saturday morning that the thieves gained access to his office after breaking the padlocks and also attempted to break into the room that houses the school's solar system.

By press time URN could not establish what the thugs took from the school since the school premises had been sealed off by police. No other person is allowed to access to access the area.

Albertine Region Police Spokesperson Julius Hakiza could also not divulge more details but confirmed that the matter is under investigation.
