Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club has maintained its unbeaten run in the FUFA Super league without conceding a goal on four games. Paul Nkata’s team went top of the table on Tuesday after thrashing SC Villa 4-0 at Nakivubo Stadium to move to 10 points. An own early goal by Yusuf Juuko was enough to give URA FC the scoring rhythm. Augustine Nsumba later picked one before Feni Ali netted a brace to bring his tally in the league to four goals.

Nkata told URN that they are working hard and want to complete the first round with some targets. The coach said after finishing second last season, they are capable of wrestling the trophy from defending champions KCCA FC. SC Victoria University who will represent Uganda in the 2014 CAF Orange Confederations Cup also started the season in good form.

They are second on the table with goal difference separating them from URA FC. On Tuesday SC Victoria University bagged maximum points against Vipers FC beating them 3-1 in a match played at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. Ex-KCCA FC striker Simon Okwi and Muwadda Mawejje netted the goals for SC Victoria. Ismail Kazibwe picked a consolation goal for Vipers FC in the 89th minute.

In the other games played on Tuesday, Andrew Basoma’s lone goal was enough to win it for Police Fc against Bidco FC. CRO FC also moved from bottom of the log with a hard fought 3-2 victory over Entebbe FC.
