Three United Nations aid agencies have launched an urgent appeal for financial support to assist millions of people affected by the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the horn of Africa.

The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF) and the World Food Programme, said on Friday that they are running out of funds to assist an estimated 10 million people, facing severe food shortages in Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti and parts of Uganda.
