Tororo RDC Accuses Police and State Prosecutors of Diverting the Course of Justice

A defilement case against an LC3 chairman in Mbale is not going fast enough for the Resident District Commissioner, Mpimbaza Hashaka. Hashaka has written to the Principal Judge, James Ogoola, asking him to investigate delays in prosecuting the LC3 chairman of Mbale North Division, Habib Wambede. Wambede is accused of defiling a 16-year-old student of Mbale High School in May this year. He reportedly lured the girl with gifts and promises of a better life, whisking her away to Granite Inn in Tororo town where he defiled her. Hashaka, in his appeal to Justice Ogoola, says that despite the fact that Wambede was caught in the act, his case has not progressed at all.
