The incident is said to have occurred at around 2 am. The robbers broke into the priest's home located at Kiteredde Village, in Kasali Sub County in Rakai district.
 
Among the items stolen were two motorcycles registration number UEC 254W and UDY 759S. The thieves also broke into a computer laboratory and made off with seven laptops.
 
According to the treasurer of the Kiteredde based Banakalori brothers priests, Bro. Gordian Tumwesigye, the robbers cut the mesh that surrounds the bothers home to access the garage and the computer room.
 
The brothers say they did not immediately realise their home had been broken into until it was noticed that the motorcyles were missing.
 
Brother Tumwesigye says that they reported the matter to police.
 
The southern region police spokesperson Noah Sserunjoji has confirmed the incident saying that police has already arrested one person to help them with investigations into the theft.
 
He has identified the suspect as Yuda Ssozi one of the builders at Banakalori brother's home who is said to have been seen around the home that night.
 
Last month robbers broke into Kitasa Parish Church, and made away with unspecified amount of money given in by faithful as offertory.
 
Similar cases have also been reported at Kijukizo parish church in Lyantonde where robbers made away with a public address system amplifier and offertory worth Ugx 6 million.
 
Recently robbers also broke into St Jubilee Church in Kinoni parish in Lwengo district and made away with church property worth more than Ugx 6 million.
