Suspected Thief Lynched in Kayunga

A man who was suspected to be a thief has been lynched in Busaana county, Kayunga district.

Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba has confirmed the death of a man whose indentity remains unknown.

Nabakooba adds that police yesterday recorded thirteen injuries of people who were involved in accidents by resulting from excitement and reckless driving during the Kabaka’s tour of Bugerere County in Kayunga.

Police also arrested twelve people involved in theft.

The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II continues his tour of Bugerere after a night in Ntenjeru. So far he has inspected his banana plantation at the Sub county Headquarters and visited MP Amos Lugoloobi’s home in Busaana where he inspected a coffee nursery bed and mahogany trees.

The Kabaka here planted a mahogany tree signifying his usual call to people to conserve the environment.

After Busaana, Kabaka visited Bukamba Health Centre II where he immunized children and headed to Nazigo Sub-County at the Parish were he also planted a tree and attended prayers at St. Matia kalemba Catholic Church-Nazigo. The service was led by Bishop Mathias Ssekamanya.

He is also expected to visit Kangulumira at Mr. Bashir Ziraba’s home where he will inspect a pineapple plantation and also plant a tree before talking to his people at Kangulumira Sub-County headquarters.
