Police at Ntusi in Ssembabule are holding a 30 year old herdsman for his alleged involvement in the death of his colleague.

Emanuel Lwamasaka, a resident of Mijuna Village, Ntusi Sub County, is accused of causing the death of Ibrahim Lubega (45), a fellow herdsman at one of the largest cattle farms in the area.

Lwamasaka reportedly attacked Lubega at a village well where the deceased had gone to bathe.

The Officer In charge of Criminal Investigations at Ntusi police station Muhammad Twesigye says that after beating his colleague to death Lwamasaka walked to police and claimed he had discovered Lubega's body near a bush near a spring well.

However Twesigye says that when Police inspected Lwamasaka's house, they recovered a bloodied trouser which they suspect belongs to the deceased.

He says that this is the second person to be killed under unclear circumstances. He says that Lwamasaka could have committed the offence because of a long standing struggle for job between the suspect and the deceased.

The body has been taken to hospital for postmortem while Lwamasaka is detained at Ntuusi police station waiting to face murder charges.
