Soroti University Vice Chancellor Complains of State House Impostors

The Soroti University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Robert Ikoja Odongo has complained of people approaching him with purported recommendations from State House for deployment and money requests. 


He cites two of such people including a one Mayombo (female) and Stephen Bwire who approached him demanding for jobs claiming that they were sent from State House.  




Prof. Odongo says that he declined to employ Mayombo who had a diploma in Business studies amidst pressure and threats of losing of his job if he doesn't comply. 



He however, says he employed Bwire to work in his office since he presented a recommendation letter purportedly signed by Haji Moses Kigongo, the National Resistance Movement-NRM party National Vice Chairperson.

Prof. Odongo disclosed this at a meeting convened by the State House Anti - Corruption Unit led by Lt. Col. Edith Nakalema. 




In her response, Nakalema said all those approaching the university claiming to have been sent by State House are impostors.
