Police has recovered the head believed to be of Sam Tumuramye, a renowned farmer and livestock trader in Bubaare Sub County in Ntungamo district who was killed in January this year.
 
Tumuramye was hacked to death by unidentified assailants who made off with his head, raising fears that he could have been a victim of a ritual murder.
 
However, this morning residents recovered a head suspected to be of Tumuramye in a sack dumped at one of the farms in Kagongo village.

Grace Tumuramye, a widow says the fact that they only buried the headless torso of her husband has been haunting her. Tumuramye claims that she has been receiving death threats from the killers of her husband she didn’t disclose.
 
Baker Kawunawu, the Ntungamo district police commander says that they are yet to confirm whether the head belongs to the late Tumuramye.  Kawunawu says they will conduct DNA tests to ascertain whether the head belongs to the deceased before it is handed over to the deceased’s relatives for a descent burial.
