Police Launches Manhunt for Suspected Thugs After Kisoro Businessman is Shot

Kisoro Police have launched a manhunt for unidentified gunmen behind the shooting of a local businessman. The gunshot victim is Dominique Ngirabanzi, a resident of Kidakama Village in Muramba sub county-Kisoro District.
Ngirabanzi was shot by two gunmen at around 7:30am this morning while opening his general merchandise shop in new Kisoro Market. The gunmen fled off into hiding as residents converged to see what was happening when they heard the gunshots. Ngirabanzi was rushed to Mutolera hospital and was still under surgery by the time of filing this story.
Ely Maate, the Kigezi regional police spokesperson says that following the incident they sealed off sections of Kisoro New Market and Mutanda road so as to hunt down the gunmen. He says police is still on ground to ensure the suspects are apprehended and the gun used in the crime is recovered.  Maate says they believe the suspects are residents since they fled off on foot shortly after shooting their victim.

On 10th August, unidentified gunmen way laid Samuel Wanyaga, a Kenyan National and his Swedish counterpart Daniel Lanti at Kiyoora along the Kabale-Bunyonyi road and robbed them of their belongings and unspecified amount of money. The duo sustained gunshot wounds in the attach.
A few days earlier, unidentified gunmen had also shot dead LawrenceTwinomuhangi, a receptionist at Kabale Little Ritz Hotel. Twinomuhangi waskilled when he reportedly tried to block the gunmen from accessing the hotel torob tourists who had checked in.
