On Friday June 9, more than 1,000 people participated in the Bunyoro marathon codenamed Empango run, one of the activities preceding the June 11 coronation anniversary of the Omukama of Bunyoro Solomon Gafabusa Iguru.

The Empango run organised by Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom in collaboration with Spice FM was aimed at raising money to procure beds for the Kagadi General Hospital's maternity ward.

The runners were flagged off from the Karuzika palace in Hoima town by the Omukama Solomon Gafabusa Iguru before being addressed at the end by Norman Lukumu the Prime minister.URN reporter Thembo Kahungu capture key moments of the entire activities and now brings them in the following pictorial.
