In short
Odrek Rwabogo says despite irregularities in the National Resistance Movement primaries, losers in the elections should work to develop the party instead of fighting for political offices.

The president's son-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo urges National Resistance Movement (NRM) party losers to continue working for the party even without political offices.

On his first return to Bunyoro after his bid for the Western region NRM Vice chairman seat was frustrated, Rwabwogo urged party losers to continue serving the party despite challenges in the primaries.

Rwabwogo wanted to unseat current party Vice Chairman and bush war historical, Rtd Major General Matayo Kyaligonza, but the party's Central Executive Committee (CEC) refused to endorse his candidature.

Rwabwogo, who is also a member of the Museveni 2016 national campaign task force says NRM members need to grow in the party ideology and look far beyond political offices.

Rwabwogo on Tuesday met NRM losers in Hoima who did not contest as independents, and some youth leaders. He had earlier on Monday met students from health training institutions.

More than 100 NRM losers, including seven ministers are contesting as independents in the forthcoming general elections.
Samuel Muganzi, the Hoima NRM Vice Chairman and an NRM loser for the Buhaguzi parliamentary seat says Rwabwogo's lectures is timely, as many party NRM supporters are disgruntled and divided over the messed up party primary elections.
