Traders and residents on Nebbi Municipality have decried the uncollected garbage at Nebbi Central Market.

The garbage has not been collected for the past two weeks and affecting their businesses and poses a great health risk to their lives.

On Friday, traders staged a peaceful demonstration protesting the failure by the Municipal authorities to collect the garbage.

Raphael Oyungrwoth, a trader at the Nebbi Central market square says his clients have drastically dropped due to the presence of the rotting garbage skips. He wants Nebbi Municipality authorities to expedite the process of relocating the garbage and keep the town clean.

David Oringi, a landlord in the area says a number of tenants have vacated his houses due to the bad stench.
