Museveni Leading with 61 Percent

According to the provisional results from 24347 of the 28010 polling station countrywide, Museveni has 5,288,074 votes 61.88, his FDC rival Dr. Kizza Besigye has 2,920,666 votes 34.18, Amama Mbabazi is in third position with 125,421 votes 1.47 and Dr. Abed Bwanika is in fourth with 78,635 0.92.

 Yoweri Museveni, the National Resistance Movement - NRM party, presidential candidate has increased his tally in the latest provisional results issued by Engineer Dr. Badru Kiggundu, the Electoral Commission, chairperson.
 
 
According to the provisional results from 24347 of the 28010 polling station countrywide, Museveni has 5,288,074 votes (61.88%), his FDC rival Dr. Kizza Besigye has 2,920,666 votes (34.18%), Amama Mbabazi is in third position with 125,421 votes (1.47%) and Dr. Abed Bwanika is in fourth  with 78,635 (0.92%).
 
 
Professor Venansius Baryamureba has 48,279 votes (0.56%), Maureen Kyalya 38,818 (0.45%), General Benon Biraaro 23,092 (0.27%) and Elton Joseph Mabirizi 22,344 (0.26%). There were 426, 558 invalidate votes of the 8,971,885 votes cast.
 

While announcing the provisional results, Kiggundu said they will declare the final results with the constitutional 48 hours.
