Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has said he is glad his team will have a second game against hosts Egypt today in just two days.

Micho told Uganda Radio Network that the team was ready to leave Cairo on Tuesday night, but the Egyptian coach Bob Bradley requested that they have another game on Wednesday which will benefit both teams.

Micho says the team agreed to take the opportunity for this match to see how far they have come in recovering from shortcomings that saw Cranes lose 2-0 to Egypt on Monday. He said the match would also serve to expose the relatively new Cranes players to the talented Egyptian side which has played internationally.

The Pharaohs will again have to do without Ahly players and the foreign-based footballers.

Ahly are busy preparing for Saturday's clash away to Cameroon's Coton Sport in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-final.

The Cranes are playing minus any senior player with Hassan Wasswa Mawanda away in Qatar for trials, while SC Victoria defender Dennis Iguma is nursing an injury and did not travel.

Micho maintained that the game is very important for his team to get exposure ahead of the 2013 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup and 2014 Africa Nations Championships (CHAN). The Egyptian coach said this is the last friendly his team will play before taking on Ghana on October 15 in Kumasi in the first leg of the 2014 World Cup qualifier play-off.
