"We know what to expect against Uganda, but we are hungry to have a good outing in this tournament. And it will be important to start with a win," added Drame.


The coach has also included three junior players who were part of the team that finished runners-up in the U-17 World Cup. The likes of Mamadou Doumbia, Sekou Koita and striker Mamadou Coulibaly who features for Stade Malien in the local League will be the key players for Mali.


Meanwhile, Guinea and Tunisia settled for a 2-all draw in an entertaining Group C match played at the Nyamirambo Stadium on Monday.


Striker Ahmed Akaichi netted a brace for Tunisia, while Alseny Camara also got his name twice on the score sheet for Guinea.


The striker who features for top Tunisian Premier League side Esperance scored in the 34th minute with a neat finish after a cross by skipper Ali Maaloul. But the Guinea team fought back strongly to level matters after 40 minutes with a beautiful Camara goal.


After the interval the 2011 CHAN champions Tunisia returned with more determination and increased their lead after 51 minutes. The dangerous striker Akaichi made no mistake placing the ball at close range.


But the hard working Guinea striker Camara also made sure he got he saved his team from suffering a defeat with a 84th minute strike. The Super Eagles of Nigeria were later meant to face Niger in another Group C match.
