PICTORIAL: Makerere University Bakery Turned Into Police Quarters

2601 Views Kampala, Uganda

Makerere University once made its own bread from its own bakery and distributed it to staff and students in different halls of residence. Established in 1992, the bakery was by 2014 when it closed, producing 1,500 loaves of bread per day.

Our reporter, Davidson Ndyabahika, visited the once vibrant bakery and brings you images of the dilapidated, abandoned structures some of which have been turned into police quarters.
