The police in Rakai have summoned the Lyantonde District Education Officer to record a statement in connection with the recent gruesome murder of a married couple of Sagala village in Kasaali Sub-county.
 
Tom Baloja also Director of Kyotera Town Academy SS was summoned on Friday along side two other directors of whose names were withheld.
 
Last week on Monday, unknown people attacked and hacked Charles Yiga and Maurine Namata to death.
 
Assailants made off with some sacks of coffee, a motorcycle Reg. UED 362A and also looked for a land agreement and other important documents and tore them in pieces.
 
Since then, the Flying squad deployed by the IGP General Edward Kale Kayihura under the command of Charles Kataratambi, has been hunting for the killers following on leads.
 
However, according to one of the Flying Squad detectives who preferred anonymity, preliminary findings clearly indicate that Balojja and Yiga were reportedly wrangling over a small plot of land near the school.
 
As a result, detectives handling the case decided to summon him to hear his side of the story because the killers tore Yiga’s land agreement into pieces before they disappeared.
