Luweero Student Drowns in Swimming Pool

A senior five student of Munta Royal College inBombo town council has drowned in a swimming pool at Ndejje university maincampus in Luweero district.  19-year-old MuzamirBukenya drowned on Sunday as he attempted to swim.  
Ben Kiwanuka, the Luweero Crime IntelligenceOfficer says Bukenya went with his colleagues and dived into the pool. He says that Bukenya stayed in the pool forsometime and his friends though he was exhibiting his swimming skills, but theybecame suspicious and signaled him to come up in vain. 
Kiwanukasays police was notified immediately, which swung into action and retrieved thebody. The body was taken to Mulago hospital for an autopsy. According toKiwanuka, preliminary police investigations show that Bukenya wasinexperienced. 
The death of Bukenya comes barely a week after Swaibu Songe, a  resident of Bwaziba village in Luweero sub county drowned in a dam. His body was recovered  by  herdsmen whohad taken their Cattle for water.
