KIU Titans Defeat Falcons

Kampala International Universitys centre Henry Malinga made a game high 20 points to give KIU a comfortable lead.

Kampala International University (KIU) Titans on Sunday evening defeated Star Times Falcons 87-45 in the the National Basketball League played at YMCA.

KIU's center Henry Malinga made a game high 20 points.

In a game that was largely dominated by the Titans in all the four quarters, Malinga, a two times MVP was impressive in picking up rebounds and making the baskets count in most of the quarters.

KIU led 21-14, 38-25 in the first and second quarters respectively. They also returned after the interval to take a 61-41 lead in the third quarter and finally won 87-45.  Falcons' Stephen Omony made 12 points.

Meanwhile, Ndejje University Angels defeated Sharing Youth 70-43 in a game played earlier in the day. Ndejje's Innocent Ocera made 15 points, while Sharing's Malek Lino made 10 points.
 
Uganda Christian University Canons also defeated Destiny Phenoms 50-28 while in the ladies category KCCA Leopards defeated KIU Rangers 52-45.
