George Abaho, Kisoro District Police Commander is in trouble following the murder of two Congolese dissidents under unclear circumstances in his area two weeks ago.
 
The deceased have been identified as Patricia Habarulema and Muhindo Olivier Rukumbuga. Abaho was yesterday suspended from office by the Inspector General of Police to pave for investigations into the murder.
 
Olivia Wabiwre, Southern Regional Police Commander has confirmed the suspension of Abaho but decline to divulge details. The two men met their death on May 05 in Nyaruwuye Sub County only a few hours after they were released from detention at Kisoro Police station.
 
It is alleged that Habarulema and Muhindo, were arrested and handed over to Kisoro police station by the 65th Battalion intelligence officer only identified as Major Karuhanga.
 
The duo was detained for two hours and set free by the police. But a few hours later the men were gunned down by unidentified people. Police recovered four cartridges of bullets fired from a pistol and four other live bullets.
 
On May 08, major Karuhanga was arrested in connection to the murder and to help police with investigations. Philemon Mateke, Outgoing Kisoro LC V chairman and John Kamara, Bufumbira North Member of parliament say that residents are living in fear of revenge from the relatives of the Congolese dissidents.
