NRM Youth Leader Held For Breaching President Museveni Security

Fred Rwijjema, a member of the NRM Youth League in Kakumiro town council in Kibaale district is in trouble for trying to approach president Yoweri Museveni during his campaign rally on Monday.
 
 
Rwijjema was arrested when he walked from the tent prepared for officials towards Museveni holding a yellow placard indicating that youth in the area wanted to meet him.
 

He was grabbed by Museveni's security team before he could deliver his message. The president's security later handed the suspect to Police, despite Museveni's directive that he should be let free. 

Rwijjema is currently being held at Kakumiro police station. A police officer who spoke to URN on condition of anonymity because he is not authorised to speak to the media, said the suspect could face charges of acting with intent to cause violence.
 
 
President Museveni has since Friday been traversing Bunyoro region in his re-election campaigns. On Monday, he addressed rallies in Buliisa and Kibaale districts.
