Ayesiga says the other four suspects who allegedly participated in carrying of the child are still in police custody. He however maintains the pastors are also still being treated as suspects.

This is not an isolated incident. Last week a three year old child went missing in Kyarulyaka village Kabwoya Sub County in Hoima district. With suspicion that the child fell prey to cannibals, on Thursday residents attacked two men they accused of being responsible.

The suspected women ran for safety at Kabwoya police post which the angry residents also overrun and burnt some of the officers’ properties.
