The preparations for the rally however come amidst claims by Mbabazi's team that their candidate's posters are being defaced.

Kasese District Police Commander, Godfrey Maate has told Uganda radio Network that he is not aware of the said incidents, and that they have not received an official complaint yet.

Maate however discourages any candidate's supporters from defacing posters because police will arrest anybody got doing it.

Ahead of the rally, residents in Kasese have different expectations from Mbabazi.

Jockus Bwambale, a passenger motorcycle rider says that the issue of the elevation of the Kasese Airfield to an International Airport status, should be addressed by Mbabazi's campaign speech.

Bwambale says since 2008, the people who were evicted from the proposed airport expansion area have never been fully compensated, and there are rumours now that the airport will be constructed elsewhere.

Eustance Kule, a candidate for Kisinga sub-county LC 5 Councilor says that Mbabazi should address plans for better education and equal employment opportunities in Kasese district.
