On Thursday, Bishop Paul Ssemwogerere washed the feet of 12 Christians at Kasana-Luweero Cathedral to commemorate the Holy Thursday when Jesus became the true sacrificial "Paschal Lamb," hours before his suffering began at the hands of Roman and Jewish officials.
The event also marked the beginning of the last supper. During the event, Bishop Paul Ssemwogerere warned the Christians to be humble and serve other unconditionally just like Jesus did.
Jesus said "You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet" (John 13:13-14).
