The activities which have been planned include; visiting all parishes in Gulu Archdiocese for finance mobilization, choir training, fundraising sports event, pre-Namugongo fundraising walk slated for March, and fundraising dinners in Gulu and Kampala.

"Contributions are expected from the parishes, institutions and catholic families in the Archdiocese of Gulu as well as from well-wishers living outside the Archdiocese. Appeals will be made to the various Church and government institutions, business entities, corporate organizations and Ugandans in the diaspora."

He said gold, silver and bronze certificates will be designed and awarded to individuals who will make substantial contributions.

This year's celebration will be themed "obey God always and everywhere." Odama said retreats, recollections and novena will be organized to assist Christians to reflect more deeply on the celebration theme and on the life of Uganda Martyrs.
