Four people have been killed in two separate road accidents along the Fort Portal-Kampala Highway today.

The first accident occurred at 5:30am when a commuter taxi registration number UAW 266F, rammed into a trailer at Rwibale trading centre in Kyegegwa district. Three people who were in the taxi died on the spot. Six others survived with severe injuries.

Tumushabe adds that the taxi driver who was over speeding rammed into the trailer registration number UAU 346L, which was driving on the wrong side of the road. She adds that the driver of the trailer is on the run.

One other person died in a separate accident that occurred three hours later, at t Kyanaiti, five kilometers from Kyenjojo town. Tumushabe said that the deceased, whose identities are not known, was driving a land cruiser registration number UAQ 451L when he rammed into a Fuso truck which was parked on the road side.
