Francis Uma Agula, the former Commissioner Secondary Education in the Education and Sports Ministry is dead. Agula breathed his last at Gulu Independent Hospital on Friday afternoon where he had checked in with malaria.

 
The hospital is yet to issue a report on the cause of death.  Charles Kalinzi, the Public Relations Officer, Gulu Independent Hospital couldn't be reached by the time of filing this story.

 
Our reporter is still trying to establish contact with the family of the deceased. Until his death, Agula has been the Director Trinity College Secondary School in Gulu Town.

In 2013, Labeja was awarded a prestigious Pan African Journalism Award for excellence in journalism at United Nation’s UNEP headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya for Climate Change and Health Reporting.
