Cranes Technical Bench Spots Four Players from North East Team Top story

The technical bench of the Uganda Cranes has spotted four players from the North Eastern regional team. They are Gilbert Aneru aka Anelka a defender with Garage FC, John Opollot and Kokas Opedo, both midfielders from Kumi University, Kumi United and Paul Opedun, a striker from Ngora Fredacar FC.
 
Simon Otim, the FUFA technical vice president North East Region says the players left for Kampala on July 18th. He says the players will join the Uganda Cranes for training for three weeks, adding that, those who perform well will join the under 20 national team.
 
Otim explains that the players were spotted during the friendly match between the North East team and Uganda Cranes held at Soroti Municipal stadium early this month. The national team has been traversing various parts of the country to identity talented players to boost the team.
 
Gilbert Aneru said he was excited about the opportunity to train with the national team, the Uganda Cranes. Aneru says he started exploiting his talent when he was still young while studying at primary level.

Juma Ibrahim, the Manager Soroti Garage FC says he is happy that Aneru was selected to train with Uganda Cranes. He describes Aneru as disciplined and talented footballer.
