The Kaberamaido RDC, Jimmy Ebil has called upon the Uganda FA leadership to clean up their house if they hope to get more funding from the government.

Speaking during the opening of the 91st FUFA General Assembly at the Soroti Hotel on Sunday, Ebil pointed out that the government is only willing to fund football in a bigger way only if some of the problems dodging the body are sorted out.

"Let the Uganda FA try to sort out the problems in the house and avoid all the bad public relations," added Ebil who was invited as the chief guest. Ebil is also a former CEO of the body that used to run the local Premier League, FSL.

The Assembly also gave the President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni a standing ovation for the support he  continues to give football. The FA invited Museveni to attend the Assembly, but reports indicate that he cannot attend.

The FA President Moses Magogo also thanked all sponsors who are supporting football like Azam Pay TV, Bidco, National Insurance Cooperation and Airtel Uganda among others.

He blamed people within the football family to stop thinking that billions are being stolen. "That is a very wrong mentality," said Magogo who was flanked by his executive team. he said it will always be hard to get funding for FUFA when people are accusing it's President of being a thief.
