Defending champions KCCA FC who have strengthened their squad will play host to newly promoted JMC Hippos at their Philip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. "We want to get a good start in the new season because I believe it will motivate the team," head coach Mike Mutebi told URN.


Veteran striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Vincent Kayizzi who joined the club during the transfer  are expected to add more fire power in KCCA FC's attack.


Kakungulu Cup holders SC Vipers will also host Bright Stars, while veteran Leo Adraa makes his return to the local League as he leads Arua based Onduparaka FC against Soana FC. "I am enjoying working with the team here in Arua and hope to to push them to greater achievements," Adraa told URN on phone from Arua.


Coach Kefa Kisaala's URA FC will also play away to newly promoted Kirinya Jinja. The other games on card will see Bidco FC host Proline FC, while Express FC take on Lweza FC at their Wankulukuku Stadium. Uganda's most celebrated club SC Villa will play away to Police FC, while The Saints battle Sadolin Paints.
