The regional cooperation between Uganda and South Sudan is quickly spreading to the sports arena with the Federation of Uganda Basketball Federation (FUBA) inviting Bilfam Basketball Club for International build-ups in Kampala.

According to the letter signed by FUBA’s Vice President Patrick Bernard Ogwel, the federation has earmarked November 11-20 for the friendly games with the Southern Sudan side.

Ogwel says the build ups with four top teams will help the Ugandan team prepare for the playoffs in the MTN League scheduled to take place between November 21 and December 15.

The visitors are expected to meet their costs for accommodation, transport and meals.

Ogwel said the federation is hoping this initiative will be strengthened further when players are given exposure. In July when South Sudan gained independence, they invited Uganda’s basketball League champions DMark Power for two games in Juba and the hosts catered for all the costs including transport aboard Air Uganda.
